Anime-style gacha game

Gachaverse is a role-playing game from Lumine Inc. that lets users create and customize anime-styled characters. The game comes with tons of selectable hairstyle, apparel, accessories, and even weapons. It also lets you set up amazing scenes so you can create a skit. More than that, the game also allows you to draw gacha for free, unlike most gacha games. However, while it is under the RPG genre, the game has no story and battle mode available. 

Customization galore

Gachaverse is primarily an RPG, but its selling point is its dress up gameplay. It comes with an editor, where you can design your character from its appearance to its costumes. The editor has clear tools, allowing you to modify any setting related to appearance. Its varied character-customization options include numerous hairstyles, facial expressions, eye style, and eye colors. You can even decide the color of your character using the color options and presets available. 

More than the physical attributes, you can also dress up and accessorize your character to your heart's content. There are hundreds of costumes in the editor, so you can have hours of fun choosing the outfits. There are also accessories and even weapons available. With this, you can create a varied cast, from high school students to warriors and magicians. 

Create your anime story

Gachaverse then allows you to customize the characters you created even further through its Studio Mode. Here, you can create scenes by adding custom text and choosing different poses. More, the game has hundreds of backgrounds that you can use. With this, you can paint a personality for your character. Note, however, that the studio only comes with eight slots. 

Once done with the scenes, you can then write a story that stars the characters you created. With the Skit Maker, the app lets you combine the scenes you made using the Studio Mode and create sketches. So, if you are an aspiring mangaka, you can use the game to see your story idea come to life. Like most RPG, Gachaverse opens up with a cutscene that details its premise. It even introduces a story, which promises a magical adventure. 

While there are story modes and battle elements promised, you will have to wait for them. It has been years since the game’s release, but these modes are still disabled until further notice. With that said, the only thing you can do now is to customize your character and make skits. And as the character customization is varied, the game seemed like a glorified anime-style dress up game. 

Just a dress up game

If you are into anime and want to try your hand in character design, then Gachaverse will be right up your alley. The game comes with varied customization and even lets you create skits and scenes. However, if you are looking for anything that resembles a story and action-packed battles, you are in for a disappointment and you might want to look elsewhere. There isn’t much to do in the game aside from dressing up random characters.
